Gamma AI in Action: How I Built a Client Pitch in Under an Hour

It was 8:30 in the morning when I got an urgent message from a client: they needed a pitch deck for a new product launch, and they needed it before lunch. Normally, that would mean cancelling all my plans for the day, digging through old templates, and manually aligning slides until my coffee went cold. This time, I decided to try Gamma AI.

I typed a single sentence into the prompt: “Presentation for a sustainable home cleaning brand launching in the US market.” Within seconds, Gamma laid out a complete deck—cover page, market analysis, product highlights, competitive comparison, and even a section for financial projections. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a head start that usually takes me at least two hours.

Instead of staring at a blank slide, I had a working framework. I went slide by slide, asking Gamma to expand certain points, rewrite technical terms into plain English, and suggest more persuasive headlines. The AI’s tone adjustments were surprisingly accurate. When I asked for something “more punchy” for the opening slide, it swapped the generic tagline with “Clean Without Compromise,” which the client later kept as their campaign slogan.

One feature I didn’t expect to use so much was the instant theme switch. Halfway through, I realized the default color palette didn’t match the client’s brand. Normally, this would mean manually changing colors on every slide. In Gamma, I picked their brand colors from a palette and the entire deck transformed in seconds—fonts, backgrounds, accent colors, everything.

Collaboration was just as smooth. My client joined the workspace to leave comments directly on the slides. We could see each other’s changes in real time, which eliminated the endless email back-and-forth. By the time we were done, the whole process had taken just under an hour.

Gamma isn’t flawless. Charts still need a bit of manual work if you want them to look exactly right, and the AI sometimes adds placeholders where real data should go. But for the purpose of delivering a clean, professional presentation under extreme time pressure, it’s easily one of the most valuable tools I’ve used this year.

That afternoon, when the client presented the deck, they messaged me: “Everyone loved it—especially the opening line.” And I couldn’t help but think, that was Gamma’s doing.
